According to U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly two-thirds of vehicle deaths (64.5%) occur outside the typical business day—early mornings, evenings and weekends. In fact, the deadliest three-hour periods are from midnight to 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, more than two-fihs (44%) of all vehicle crashes occur outside the typical business day. What does this have to do with business vehicles? Everything— especially if your organization maintains a fleet of company-provided vehicles.
